Is the Canada visa photo the same size as the Canada passport photo?
No — the Temporary Resident Visa photo uses the smaller 35×45mm ICAO-style format, while the Canadian passport uses the larger 50×70mm format with visible shoulders. Don't submit one for the other.
Does my Canada visa photo need a photographer's stamp like the passport photo?
No — the studio-stamp requirement is specific to Canadian passport applications. Visa photos don't require it, though they must still meet IRCC's size and background rules.
What happens if my Canada visa photo doesn't meet IRCC's specifications?
It can delay processing or require you to submit a replacement image before your application proceeds.
