Not an official source
Photo Tool is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government, passport office, embassy, or visa authority. Every requirement shown on this site (size, background colour, head position, and so on) is our own summary of publicly available guidance, written in our own words rather than copied from any official document.
No guarantee of acceptance
We do not guarantee that a photo produced with this tool will be accepted by any authority. Requirements change without notice, vary by application type, and are sometimes applied inconsistently even by the same office. Every spec page links to the official source we verified it against and the date we last checked it — always confirm the current requirement there before you submit an application.
No liability
We are not responsible for a rejected application, a delayed submission, or any other consequence of using this tool. It is provided free, as-is, with no warranty of any kind.
Report an error
If you believe a requirement on this site is wrong or out of date, email dev.ctrlzlab@gmail.com with the page and what the correct value should be, and we’ll verify and correct it.
