Frequently asked questions

What's the exact head-length requirement for a Korean passport photo?

3.2cm to 3.6cm (32mm to 36mm), measured from the crown of the head to the chin — Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) states this range directly on its own passport-photo standards page.

Can I submit an AI-edited or filtered photo for a Korean passport?

No — MOFA's current guidance explicitly excludes photos altered with editing programs, filters, or any AI-based editing, processing, or generation.

What pixel size should I use for an online Korean passport application?

413×531 pixels is MOFA's recommended digital size, though the printed photo's head-length measurement (32-36mm) still governs whether it's accepted.
