Is the China visa photo the same size as a standard 35×45mm passport photo?
No — China uses its own 33×48mm format, taller and narrower than the common 35×45mm ICAO size used by most European and Asian countries. Don't submit a generic 35×45mm photo.
Are glasses allowed in a China visa photo?
No — China banned glasses in visa photos in 2024, with no exception for prescription lenses.
What if the digital photo upload fails for my China visa application?
Bring 2 qualified paper photos to the visa office or service center — one gets pasted onto the application form.
